Mrs McNally was also slammed for describing Catherine Seeley, the Sinn Fein Deputy Lord Mayor of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon, as a ‘tramp’.

Meanwhile Sinn Fein have been challenged to condemn comments made by republican Dee Fennell calling for IRA recruitment during an Easter commemoration.

DUP MP David Simpson, hit out at those remarks and called for a police probe while distancing himself from Mrs McNally’s comments on social media.
