Kelly in welcome for price decrease

The Upper Bann MLA said the 14 per cent decrease would help hard-pressed home and business owners feeling the pinch from a rise in other costs of living.

She said: “It’s a positive step in the right direction and I give it a general welcome. This will be a fillip for consumers and business owners alike, struggling with fuel bills and I hope that there will be further progress in the coming year.

“It’s also important that the fuel suppliers recognize the plight of consumers. This reduction is one which I believe has been long overdue.

I hope that this price reduction will result in other price reductions in other goods and services which were raised because of previous increases.”
