‘Mindless thugs’ lambasted over another attack on play park
DUP Councillor for Limavady, Alderman Alan Robinson has hit out at vandals who have again damaged facilities at a local play area.
Mr Robinson said: “Once again over the weekend the play park in the vicinity of Blackburn Path has been trashed by mindless thugs. This is a community facility which is appreciated by the community and it is therefore even more difficult to understand the mind-set of the individuals who perpetrate these acts.
It also has to be realised that it is Limavady Borough Council who have, and will again, pay for the repair of the play-park. This is ratepayer’s money-money that is in some ways being wasted because of criminality. Anyone who knows who carried out the damage should report it to the police so that ratepayers are saved this additional expense.”
