Motorists warned not to block others
UPPER Bann DUP MLA Stephen Moutray has urged motorists not to block local residents in the Mountview area of Ballymoney Hill at the end of the school day.
Speaking after being approached by local residents who are being pushed away from the area at that time of day by people picking pupils up at Banbridge Academy Stephen Moutray said, “I have been approached by local residents, including senior citizens, who are finding that on a daily basis they are unable to get anywhere near their homes owing to people using this development as a car park in order to avoid congestion along the main road.
“The problem of course is that in their efforts to avoid that congestion they only end up inflicting something similar to local residents.
“I would appeal, to people to show greater consideration to local residents some of whom are elderly.”
