Rally praised
LURGAN Park Rally has been given the seal of approval by local councillors.
At Monday’s council meeting Mayor of Craigavon Carla Lockhart commended the organisers.
She added: “I got the opportunity to get a spin in an Escort and a Subaru and the Lurgan Mail have the video to prove it on their website.”

Hide AdThe Mayor said the big names at the rally attracted a great crowd and the town should be looking at ways to capitalise on the extra footfall.
She also praised park staff for their tidy up after the rally.
DUP Councillor Mark Baxter said he too had a ride in a rally car but didn’t scream as much as his colleague due to the fact his seatbelt was a lot tighter and he could “hardly breathe never mind scream”.
