Thanks for the votes
SIR - Now that the Council Elections are over I would like to thank all those who voted for me. Sadly I did not get enough votes to get re-elected. However that is democracy.
For the Ulster Unionist Party it has been a disappointing election. At council level the party over Northern Ireland as whole lost 16 seats falling from a total of 115 seats to 99.
Clearly the party will have to analyse why it continues to lose support.
I wish the new Ballymoney Council weel. As a former councillor I shall nevertheless continue to take interest in Council activities.
