The project provides an innovative mix of media platforms for all ages and interests to discover the Ulster-Scots story of the wider North West.

Among the items showcased was a free-to-download phone app as well as a series of interpretation panels located at local sites which are rich in the Ulster-Scots tradition.

Councillor McHugh said: “Strabane District Council is fully appreciative of the rich cultural heritage which exists locally, and is delighted to be associated with a project which can lead to a greater awareness of the Ulster Scots legacy in the North West.

“We hope we can build upon initiatives such as these to develop greater understanding and build relationships within society.”
