Pomeroy star Andrea Begley to take centre stage at Ulster Hall

Andrea Begley, Winner of BBC’s The Voice 2013 will be a special guest at a charity Concert featuring 160 singers at the Ulster Hall in Belfast.

On Saturday May 2 Donaghadee Male Voice Choir will be joined by choirs from Barnburgh and Thurnscoe in Yorkshire, and Voice winner Andrea Begley, as well as singers from St Malachy’s College Belfast and Hazelwood Integrated College.

This is the second star to join the Donaghadee choir following Phil Coulters appearance with them at the Ulster hall last September.

The two colleges also formed a cross community choir two years ago which has received much praise since.

Andrea Begley, from Pomeroy will be known to many as the winner of BBC talent show “The Voice” in 2013. Her first album titled “The Message” was released last year and reached number 7 in the chart. Andrea is now touring again to the delight of her fans, and has found time in between projects to achieve a Master’s degree in Law.

The concert will bring together singers aged 12 to 90 with a wide range of music on offer, encompassing popular arias, hits from stage and screen and gospel songs. The singers are generously providing support for the Integrated Education Fund, through celebrating diversity, individuality, collaboration and harmony.

The Integrated Education Fund is the charity providing financial support for the development of integrated education. They aim to enable children to learn together in an environment that celebrates religious and cultural diversity, making integration, not separation, the norm of the Northern Irish school system.
