The activities include music and prizes from Cool FM, climbing wall, urban sports, circus skills, Bubble Football, Carnival Games, Laser Tag, Cage Football and more.

For something a bit different and to inject that bit of colour we all need at this time of year, you can also take part in a Colour Riot, supported by Antrim and Newtownabbey Good Relations Programme.

The colour riot is based on events and activities that take place to celebrate the Indian Holi Festival.

At this Hindu-Festival people celebrate the victory of good over bad and the beginning of the spring.

They throw colourful powder in the air to express freedom and to colour their everyday life.

Chair of Antrim and Newtownabbey Policing and Community Safety Partnership, Councillor Linda Clarke said, “The Pop Up Parks’ aim to give young people positive activities to take part in within their own locality.

“Young people and parents will have the opportunity to engage with representatives from a range of statutory agencies and community groups who work with young people in different capacities.

“I would encourage everyone to come along and take part in the activities on offer or even just call in to see what’s happening.”
