Popluar hair salon on the move

The creative consultants at Shane Bennett Salon are enjoying their new home, as Sunday April 24 saw their relocation to Lisburn after almost two decades in Hillsborough.

From a quaint Georgian terrace on Hillsborough Main Street to the urban city centre location of Lisburn Square, this stylish new salon offers a fabulous streamlined interior which is both bright and spacious, with a modern and contemporary feel.

The move comes hot on the heels of their historical win as the first Northern Irish salon to take home the coveted Artistic Team of the Year award at the British Hairdressing Awards 2015,

Owner Shane Bennett, three time winner of Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year, said : “After 15 years in our much more traditional salon in Hillsborough we felt it was time to move forward with the success of our team and rebrand and relaunch with some much more modern and minimalist surroundings which, I hope, will enhance the creativity of our now multi-award-winning team.

“Our new salon is much more reflective of our creative style as a team, with a focus on sharp lines and a much edgier feel.

“The space was designed with the concept of being a creative platform for the team, taking inspiration from the daring styles of the award-winning Northern Ireland Hairdresser of the Year campaign from artistic directors Julie Cherry and Collette Fitzpatrick that we have prominently displayed across the salon. It’s an exciting new chapter for both the team and our stylish clientele.”

Clients from throughout Northern Ireland will benefit from an enhanced customer experience, as the bespoke unit can be found nestled in the beautifully restored courtyard in Lisburn Square surrounded by much-loved fashion stores and delicious eateries, with easy access to the city centre and parking a-plenty.

Shane’s team draws in customers from Dungannon and Belfast as well as right across the Lagan Valley towns and villages including Lisburn, Moira, Dromore and Banbridge amongst many others and he hopes this will grow with the increased parking facility as well as passing footfall in the busy centre of Lisburn.

Now in business for over 15 years, the salon’s relocation will create five new jobs in the area, adding to an already impressive sixteen positions within the awardwinning company.
