Popular ‘Covenanter’ tour

Seats for Mid-Antrim Museum’s summer heritage tour are booking up fast.

This half day tour focuses on important local Covenanter sites including a visit to Laymore, the scene of conventicles (open air meetings) from the late 17th-century and Glenwherry, where Alexander Peden, a Covenanter minister, found refuge having fled from Scotland in the 1680s.

The tour takes place on Wednesday 31 July, departing from The Braid at 1pm, returning at 5pm (approx). An adult must accompany children under 18. Tickets are £10 per person and include refreshments. For further information please contact 028 2563 5900.
