Portaferry retreat amongst options for MS sufferers

LONDONDERRY Multiple Sclerosis sufferers have access to a range of respite options including a disabled holiday centre on the banks of Strangford Lough in Portaferry.

Health Minister Edwin Poots outlined the various respite options for local people with MS.

He stated: “Within the Western HSC Trust area, people with MS have access to respite provision including Spruce House, Londonderry (in-patient respite); the Dalriada MS regional centre respite; the Share Centre in Lisnaskea; Strangford Lough Lodge Disabled Holiday Centre in Portaferry and at a range of nursing and residential homes: Hill Crest Nursing Home, Omagh; Silverdale Nursing Home, Castlederg; Woodmount Nursing Home; Culmore Manor, Londonderry; Longfield PNH, Londonderry; Brooklands Nursing Home, Belfast; Cornfield Care Home, Londonderry; Deanfield PNH, Londonderry; Daleview House, Londonderry; Edgewater,
