Portglenone alert declared a hoax
A security alert in Portglenone, which resulted in residents being evacuated from their homes, has been declared a hoax.
Roads were also closed while Army bomb disposal experts examined a suspicious device left in the Main Street area.
Following examination the object was removed from the scene for forensic examination.
Police thanked residents for their patience during the alert which ended this morning (Thursday) around 7am and appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
