Portglenone sewage work extension

WORK to upgrade the sewage network between Clady and Portglenone has been extended to the end of June, Northern Ireland Water has confirmed.

NI Water says the extension is due to “unforeseen ground conditions encountered by the team working at the site”.

The company has also advised that the current lane closures and traffic restrictions will remain the same throughout the extended period on Clady Road – from Glenone Road to Kilrea Road.

Drivers will be prohibited from parking in this area while work is ongoing, however, pedestrians will be accommodated and access to residential/commercial properties

maintained, as much as practically possible, NI Water has said. Pipe-laying will then continue in private lands in the surrounding area.

NI Water has thanked the public “for their continued patience and support while this essential work is completed”.
