Portrush parkrun to welcome charity runner

A Northern Irish man who is aiming to complete all 22 parkruns in Northern Ireland, will take to the beach at Portrush parkrun this Saturday morning.

Tim Page is taking on the huge challenge for Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI.

This Saturday’s run at the East Strand beach in Portrush will be the fourth of Tim’s parkruns so far this year.

Tim tells: “I discovered the parkrun community while recovering from an autologous stem cell transplant - aggressive treatment of aggressive lymphoma for the fourth time in my life.

“The aims of this project are to complete all 22 Northern Ireland parkruns; raise £5000 for Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI, promote the work of Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI; Promote registration of potential stem cell donors (via Delete Blood Cancer) and promote the benefits of physical fitness for all.”
