Portrush scheme success

Activities included an educational visit to W5 at the Odyssey in Belfast where participants learned about both the mechanical and scientific worlds.

The young people also enjoyed their visit to Benone tourist complex and also made full use of Waterworld and Portrush Recreation Grounds during the scheme.

The Causeway Bowl was the venue for the launch of the rocket-making project which ended with a barbecue.

The scheme was also visited by Casey’s Creatures which provided an informative talk on wildlife and pet care.

Portrush Youth Centre wish to thank all the young people and their families for supporting the project this summer.

The centre is supported by Coleraine Borough Council and NEELB Youth Service for all their assistance this summer. Watch this space for details on next year’s scheme.
