Portrush stabbing: two arrested

Two men have been arrested following a stabbing incident that occurred in the Glenmanus Park area of Portrush in the early hours of Monday, August 3.

Just after 3.30am, police received a report that two men had been stabbed at a house. The two men, aged 40 and 27, were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

Two men, aged 27 and 20, were arrested just before 5am on suspicion of aggravated burglary. The 20 year old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and disorderly behaviour.

Detective Sergeant Kelly Gallagher said: “The two men currently remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.”
