This year Will Browne and his team offer a range of quality living room suites, an electric sewing machine, complete with carrying case, fridge freezer and freezer. Many other interesting lots have still to be collected and the variety and quality always impresses. Another Causeway stone will be offered (last year one sold for £120).

An interesting lot on offer is an unusual early 19th century kitchen parlour shelf alarm clock by Union Clock Company, Germany, which should appeal to those interested in the unusual collector’s item.

Catering plays a major part in the project – holding the bidders at the sale all day – and the willing volunteers in the kitchen and serving hall do a tremendous job of attending to the needs of the audience, with the hot dogs a ‘hot favourite’.

The auction will begin at 12 noon. Viewing takes place on the previous night (Friday) from 7-00pm to 9-00 p.m. and on the day of the auction from 10-00 a.m.
