Portstewart fire deliberate

Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 4:12am to a report of a fire at residential premises at the Upper Heathmount area of Portstewart in the early hours of this morning, (Wednesday 30th September).

“Two fire appliances from Portstewart Fire Station and one fire appliance from Portrush Fire Station were deployed to the scene of a fire at a semi-detached house in the area.

“Firefighters dealt with the fire, but no one was believed to be in the house at the time of the incident.

“Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service finished at 4:52am, and the fire is being treated as a deliberate fire. The incident has been passed through to the Police Service of Northern Ireland.”
