Post mortem shows death of 36-year-old woman in Co Derry '˜not suspicious'

The 62-year-old man arrested following the death of a woman in County Derry, has been released by police after a post mortem examination showed her death was '˜not suspicious'.

Police were first called to a home on the Glenshane Road area of Claudy early on Saturday morning (April 16).

At that stage the 36-year-old’s unexplained death was being treated as suspicious by detectives, but the post mortem found it was not and the man has been released unconditionally.

Detective Chief Inspector Michael Harvey said: “A man arrested following the death has been released unconditionally.
