Entitled ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’, the new book is based on the new West End play and is the latest literary addition to the iconic Harry Potter series, coming nine years after JK Rowling’s last foray into the world of Hogwarts, Hagrid and Harry.

To celebrate the new release, Foyleside will be paying homage with eight days of ‘Pottermania’ leading up to the grand release at midnight on July 31.

To mark the occasion, dress up as your favourite character from the series before you visit Foyleside. Alternatively,if your robes are in the wash, why not head to the Wizarding Wardrobe where you can get kitted out in-centre.

Wizzy the Wizard will be setting up shop throughout the week to oversee proceedings, so be sure to get a few pictures with Derry’s most famous wizard.

Children can take part in a free Harry Potter themed treasure hunt, which will have them exploring the Centre’s top retailers in search of some hidden treasure, as well as visiting the craft workshop where they can be sorted into their very own Hogwarts house.

With face-painting on offer as well, everyone who visits will be transformed into their favourite Harry Potter face, be it Harry, Hermione or even Hedwig.

But that’s not all, as one lucky family of four will be winning a £1,000 prize to spend on a trip of a lifetime to visit Harry Potter Land at the Warner Bros Studio in London.

Described as a Harry Potter fan’s dream experience, the Studio Tour gives a behind the scenes look at how the iconic series was brought to life and features a treasure trove of sets, props and magic which made the world fall in love with Harry Potter.

While you’re enjoying Pottermania, don’t forget to check out the amazing Back to School range available in Foyleside. From uniforms and school shoes, to stationary offers and lunch boxes, Foyleside has everything you need to get a head start on the next school season.
