Poundland to open new store

POUNDLAND, Europe's biggest single price discount retailer, has announced its expansion plans, which include a new store opening later this month in Ferryquay street in Londonderry. The opening will create up to 30 new jobs.

Poundland has 263 stores nationwide selling a huge selection of products at just 1 each.

The range includes top brand essentials including Mr Muscle, Cadbury, Weight Watchers, Colgate and Kodak.

To celebrate Poundland's arrival in Londonderry, one of the UK's favourite soap stars will officially welcome shoppers and kick off a family fun day.

Details of the celebrity will be announced nearer to the opening date.

Poundland's Trading Director, David Coxon, says:

"Poundland has grown significantly over the past year and it's fantastic to see this expansion continuing with a new store in Londonderry.

"Opening here will create new jobs and a great shopping experience for the local community.

"We have been satisfying shoppers for nearly 20 years so we're confident the savvy shoppers in this area will also be delighted by the amazing value that Poundland offers."
