Poundstretcher says that it offers its customers “big brand names at low and affordable prices, and houses a variety of products including grocery items, garden and homewares, health and beauty products, and even toys and games”.

In addition to the main Poundstretcher shop, the site will also house Pet Hut, Poundstretcher’s sister store which is currently the United Kingdom’s only retailer specialising in discounted pet goods.

Area manager, Elaine Watson said: “The newest store in Carrick is the first to open in two and a half years, and will replace a smaller Poundstretcher site. It is much bigger than its predecessor and will increase local interest.”
