Power company switches Rotarians on to savings

THE newly-named Power NI has paid a visit to Carrickfergus Rotary Club as part of as part of its ‘Face to Face Programme’ .

This is designed to give an insight into the ways in which people can save energy and money in their homes and businesses during tough economic times.

“We are keen to get even more involved with customers to help them save energy and money,” said Power NI’s Lesley Ann Diffin.

“Through our ‘Face to Face Programme’ we aim to get out and about in the community, delivering meaningful interactions to our customers, organisations and representative groups, presenting the simple message: what we can do for you.”

Power NI explains that paying by direct debit means savings for customers. The company debits the same amount each month which helps spread the cost throughout the year.

Furthermore, with the ‘pay as you go’ Keypad, customers receieve 2.5 percent discount off every unit of electricity. There are many different ways to ‘top up’, including the latest outlet via a free ‘top up’ app for iPhone users.

Some home owners may be eligible for a free insulation package worth up to £800 through one of the many schemes Power NI offer its domestic customers.

For business customers, a range of tariffs is offered to suit various business needs, as well as grants towards the installation of Variable Speed Drives, refrigeration and LED lighting.
