Power cut hits 6,000 homes
Up to 6,000 homes in the north Lurgan area were hit by a power cut this morning (Saturday, June 13) following a problem with a transformer.
Power has now been restored to 5,000 homes with a further 1,000 still off supply. Traffic lights in the area were also affected.
The SDLP’s Councillor Joe Nelson contacted NI Power (NIE) on the issue and they assured him engineers were working to restore supply as soon as possible.
