Praise for health roadshow

Claire Sugden said she was ‘delighted’ to show her support for the Cancer Research UK Awareness Roadshow which visited Pates Lane.

“Cancer awareness nurses, a pharmacist, Causeway CAB and other health and social care workers were on the doorstep of local residents to promote good health and offer professional advice on any concerns they may have had.

“Local health and social care services are severely stretched.

“Getting an appointment with your GP often feels like a battle with many people choosing not to bother, putting aside their health. The Roadshow today got locals talking about their health, which can only be a great thing,” said the independent MLA.
