Praise for kids’ Games posters

Stormont Sports Minister, Carál Ní Chuilín, has congratulated children at Larne and Inver Primary School who took part in a recent World Police and Fire Games school poster exhibition.

The local school was one of 20 from across northern Ireland tht submitted posters of the WPFG mascot Emergency Eddie, which are now exhibited in the Great Hall at Parliament Buildings.

The Sinn Fein minister said: “In less than a month’s time we will be welcoming the competing athletes and visitors to what I am sure will be the friendliest games ever.

“Each of the schools exhibiting here also signed up to the World Police and Fire Games buddy system and are paired with an international team.

“This unique opportunity gives the children a chance to connect with the games and cheer on their teams, ” Ní Chuilín added.
