Praise for Loughbrickland tractor run

Ulster Unionist Party Leader Mike Nesbitt MLA, local MLA Jo-Anne Dobson and Councillor Glenn Barr have praised the organisers and entrants at Saturday’s successful tractor run in Loughbrickland.

The event, which attracted a fantastic 121 entrants, took place from the Sir Henry Wilson Memorial Hall, Loughbrickland.

“To get over 120 people taking part in a tractor run in early January is a fantastic achievement and it was a wonderful sight to see them all lined up in the village - tractors of all shapes, models and sizes,” said Mrs Dobson.

Ulster Unionist Party Leader Mike Nesbitt MLA said: “I never fail to be amazed at the generosity of spirit of the farming community, but on this occasion, they surpassed themselves.

“To double the number of tractors that were anticipated and pass the hundred mark is quite something.
