Praise for Transport Minister from UUP
The UUP’s Julia Kee has commended the decision by Transport Minister Danny Kennedy to invest £10m in the rail infrastructure in the north west.
Minister Kennedy made the announcement following his attendance at the TEN-T Days 2015 in Riga, which included a meeting with European Transport Commissioner Violeta Bulc. Funding for the north west rail infrastructure was one of two schemes to be funded under the Connecting Europe Facility.
Ms Kee said: “Its through the forward thinking, innovation of Danny Kennedy and his department that this funding for capital projects has been realised and secured for the north west region. Minister Kennedy sees the north west as an integral and important part of Northern Irelands economy.”
