Praxis Care has a new assistant director
The charity Praxis Care has appointed Rosemary Doherty as Assistant Director for Care, with responsibility for the organisation's projects in Londonderry.
Rosemary joined Praxis Care in December, 2015, having worked in care and support services for many years in the NHS, charity and voluntary Sectors. She began as a nurse in London and during her career also served as Head of Care for The Leonard Cheshire Foundation in Dublin. For the past 25 years she worked with a UK-based housing group.
She is a Mental Health First Aid instructor and has delivered mental health training to various groups with the emphasis on decreasing the stigma and discrimination that surrounds mental health.
