Presbytery of Derry and Donegal

THE Presbytery of Derry and Donegal is planning two events for Sunday School children. The first is a Rally on Sunday, May 16 in Strabane Presbyterian Church at 3.30pm. The preacher is to be Brian Smyth and the worship lead by Andy Lamberton.

The other event is a Fun Day at the Ocean View Complex in Rosnowlagh on Saturday, May 8. As well as five-a-side football, basketball and bouncy castle for the boys and girls there will be craft stalls for adults. There are also to be three shows - magic, introduction to animals and puppet. There will be chip and ice-cream vans and also free tea and coffee provided by Christian Evangelism Fellowship as well as a “Chill out” room for adults.

The cost is, for children 4-11 years -4 or n4.50 and for those 12+, 5 or n5.65. Rev. Mark Shaw organiser of the events says, “These events are an investment in young people. Also it will enable them to feel part of the Church. Also, since we are part of a new Presbytery it will enable them to meet people from other parts.”
