Principal’s ‘delight’ at results

Pupils at Loreto College in Coleraine have maintained the school’s high standards with 100 percent of all students achieving two or more grades A* to E.

Mr Michael James, Principal of Loreto College, said that 97 percent of all students achieved three or more grades A*-E and 80 percent of all students achieving three or more grades A*-C.

Congratulating the pupils, Mr James said: “I am delighted, once again, by the superb performances of our A Level pupils.

“Significantly, our students have increased the number of top grades achieved this year, with 41.5 percent of all grades A or A* and 74% of all grades achieved are grade B or better. Amongst our top performers, 24 students attained the remarkable standard of 3 A grades or better.”

Mr James added: “I would like to take this opportunity to commend the students and the teachers for their hard work and dedication throughout the past year. They all thoroughly deserve these wonderful results.”

Twenty four students from Loreto College scored three A grades or better. The students were: Conor Anderson, Christopher Bradley, Julia Brzozowska, Bronwen Butler, Caoimhe Cooke, Peter Devlin, Shane Donnelly, Niamh Dowdall, Adam Gellatly, Patrick Kerr, Edward Lane, Kevin Liken, Rosanna McAleese, Patrick McCloskey, Olivia McCullagh, Alice McGee, Cliodhna McIlvenny, Eilis McNamee, Ciara Morren, Fearghal O’Boyle, Nicole O’Hagan, Sorcha O’Hara, Roisin Parahoo and Karl Traynor.
