Proclaimers set to play Lush Live!

SCOTLAND'S best known duo - the Proclaimers are coming to Portrush!

Identical twin brothers Charlie and Craig Reid are best known for their songs ‘Letter from America’, I’m On My Way’ and ‘I’m Gonna Be’.

The pair first shot to stardom 20 years ago when they made their TV debut on ‘The Tube’ performing their classic song ‘Letter from America’.

Back then, the charts were dominated by the likes of Rick Astley and Sinita and the response to Craig and Charlie Reid, two impassioned brothers singing their hearts out in their own accents about serious political issues was extraordinary.

Within a month of appearing on the show, the duo were signed to Chrysalis Records and recording their debut album nine days later. Since then the band haven’t looked back!

Last year they undertook a mammoth 36 date UK and Ireland tour.

They also played a six week tour of Canada and America. Whilst in Los Angeles, Craig and Charlie recorded parts in a new episode of the hit animation ‘Family Guy’.

You can see The Proclaimers at Lush Live on Friday May 28.
