Programme to benefit youth

YOUTH leadership initiatives within the Larne area are to enjoy a share of £240,000 worth of funding from the North East PEACE III Partnership.

The new programme 3b - Youth and Schools is one of a series of programmes being run by the partnership, which is responsible for managing the European Union’s PEACE III programme in the six local council areas of Larne, Coleraine, Ballymena, Ballymoney, Limavady and Moyle.

The programme aims to support youth leadership and peace building across the North East area and comprises three separate strands – a schools-based Youth Leadership programme, a young peer leaders programme and outreach work with detached young people.

Delivery agents are currently being appointed to implement the Youth Leadership Framework and that suitably qualified organisations are now invited to tender for delivery of the programmes. Tender documents are available to download on www.northeastpeace.com or by emailing [email protected]
