Progressive reveals £1m investment plan

A £1 million pound investment in Ballymena town centre has just been unveiled by Progressive Building Society.

Progressive, which has been a local landmark since 1978, will completely demolish the existing premises at Wellington Street to make way for a brand new, £1 million state of the art branch facility.

Announcing the plans, William Burgess, Progressive Area Manager, said: “We’re delighted to be in a position to cast our vote of confidence in Ballymena and to reinforce our commitment to the town.

“We have been at the heart of Ballymena for over 30 years during which time we have enjoyed fantastic support from the people of the town and, indeed, the surrounding area. This latest investment recognizes their loyalty and business over the years.”

Declan Moore, Head of Sales and Marketing, added: “Ballymena has long been a vibrant and dynamic regional hub with a vibrant mix of strong independent retailers as well as the major national high street chains and a superb sense of community.

“The town, indeed the wider borough, has a strong and determined vision for a prosperous future and this investment by Progressive is evidence that we share that vision and are proud to be backing Ballymena.”

Progressive staff have already relocated to temporary accommodation at 63, Tower Centre Wellington Street, Ballymena, where the message is very much ‘business as usual’!
