£1000 reward from Councillor still stands

A reward of £1000 offered by a Moyle councillor following an attack on his home earlier this year, is still on the table.

Cllr. Price McConaghy (pictured)and his wife, Beth, narrowly escaped serious injury when their home at Dunseverick came under a hail of rocks and stones on February 8.

The Independent representative had just returned from a council meeting and was relaxing with his wife when the incident occurred around 10.30 p.m.

Several windows were smashed and both occupants were later counting their lucky stars that neither was hit.

At the time, Cllr. McConaghy put up a reward of 1000 for information that would lead to the conviction of those responsible.

He told the Times this week: “The offer still stands. I will pay 1000 cash for information that will lead to a successful conviction.”
