£100,000 boiler work

Ballymena Academy will benefit from over £100,000 investment in the coming months from the Department of Education’s minor works scheme.

The Department has agreed investment of more than £100,000 for work on the boiler at the school.

Education Minister John O’Dowd said: “A total of 131 minor works projects amounting to over £10million were agreed in September across all board areas.

“Of these projects, 10 are in the North Eastern Education and Library Board (NEELB) area, amounting to almost £1.8million.”

The contract for work to be carried out at Ballymena Academy has been awarded to Devlin Mechanical Ltd, Toomebridge.

The total approved cost of the project is £104,907.
