£130 raised forCare in Crisis

A Coffee Morning, hosted by local MP David Simpson in support of Care in Crisis, has raised £129.78.

The event last Friday was at the Jethro Centre, Lurgan to raise awareness and fundraising morning for Care in Crisis and to mark World Mental Health Day on 10th October 2013.

Care in Crisis were delighted to be part of events that have taken place over the Southern Health and Social Care Trust Area in partnership with The Promoting Wellbeing Team to mark this important day. A short presentation was given by Patricia Harte of the Action Mental Health Team, Portadown, on ‘Steps to positive well-being’.

A number of special guests attended including Diane Dodds MEP, Stephen Moutray MLA, Sydney Anderson MLA, The Mayor of Craigavon Mark Baxter, Councillor Carla Lockhart, Mr John Beggs, Chair of the Trustees of Care in Crisis, Elaine Fogarty, local author of ‘Diary of a bipolar survivor’ and representatives from several organisations in the Lurgan and Craigavon areas.
