£15m maintaining roads

ROADS Service spent £15m resurfacing, dressing and draining Londonderry roads over the past five years.

The total maintenance bill was £14,154,000.

Roads Minister Danny Kennedy provided an analysis of its total Structural Maintenance spend which includes Resurfacing, Surface Dressing and Structural Drainage.

In Londonderry the bill was £2,510,000 in 2006/7; £2,998,000 in 2007/8; £2,673,000 in 2008/9; £3,086,000 in 2009/10; and £2,887,000 in 2010/11.
