£1m glad tidings for Larne borough

THE Larne borough is in line for funding windfalls totalling just over £1m following a number of welcome announcements.

The Larne Times reveals that there is good news for grants recipients in Glenarm, Islandmagee, Magheramorne, Glynn and Larne.

The biggest award of £400,000 goes to Larne Borough Council to help with the exciting Gobbins cliff project; Larne FC hopes to obtain £250,000 for an artificial pitch; £256,000 has been secured for a reinvigoration scheme at Glenarm; £158,000 for a social enterprise venture at Magheramorne and it was also announced that suicide prevention charity PIPS Larne and the local rugby club will share £13,000 allocation from the Big Lottery Fund.
