£200,000 spent on non-medical consultants

ALMOST £200,000 was spent on non-medical consultancy fees in the Western Health and Social Care Trust (WHSCT) since 2007.

In 2007/8 115,970 was spent on non-medical consultants in the Western Trust, reduced to 76,696 in 2008/9 - a total of 195,666.

According to the Health Minister Michael McGimpsey the information relates to "external consultants" as defined by DFP guidance.

The information was revealed in response to a question tabled by DUP MLA George Robinson at the Stormont Assembly.
