£20k for seven festivals
SEVEN community festivals in the Borough are sharing funding of £20,000 during the current financial year.
Whitehead’s Victorian street fair (November) will receive 1,500, while two cultural events in Glenfield (July and August) received 500 each, Carrickfergus Historical and Cultural Festival (August) 1,000, the Carrick Sevens rugby tournament (May) 2,000 and the International Ladies’ Football Festival (July) 8,020.
The funding is divided equally between Carrickfergus Borough Council and the Community Festivals Fund.
