Event organiser Malachy Butler comments: “With over 450 lots now having pride of place in new homes, I am delighted to announce a staggering total of £28,000 was raised at the Charity auction including kind donations from the public for Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Alzheimer’s Society.

“The success of the auction was beyond our expectations!

“On behalf of everyone involved, I take great pleasure in thanking all who attended, donated, purchased and helped in any way to make the auction a runaway success.

“A special thanks to Daniel McAlister and staff at the Armoy Livestock Market not only for the smooth running of the event but for donating both time and premises. The enjoyable atmosphere and support received at the auction is easily seen in the fantastic amount raised for two very worthwhile charities. Once again thank you to everyone involved.”

Spilt equally between Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Alzheimer’s Society, the amount will help both charities continue their excellent work for our communities.
