The Broadband Connection Vouchers Scheme, being brought to the region by Mid Ulster District Council, allows small to medium size enterprises (SMEs) and social enterprises (with less than 249 employees) to claim vouchers of the value of up to £3,000 to cover installation of a super fast broadband service to improve and enhance the way they do business.

The Connection Vouchers Scheme (CVS) is part of the Super Connected Cities Programme which is funded by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.

Launching the scheme with businesses in Maghera, Chair of the Council, Councillor Linda Dillon, welcomed the new opportunity: “Access to broadband and the speed of connections have been identified as critical issues for business growth in Mid Ulster and so the availability of funding through schemes like this will help to stimulate that growth.

“As well as the clear benefits for companies in terms of the cost of installing high speed broadband, this scheme also has the potential to improve the overall broadband infrastructure in the area making it a more desirable location to invest.

“I would encourage local businesses to take advantage of what is an excellent funding package while it’s available”.
