Inspector Paul Woods said: “I am satisfied that we have dismantled a cannabis factory which had the potential to yield a significant quantity of drugs. People in Larne have identified drug supply and distribution as a key community concern. This seizure is significant and is another step in the process of tackling drug misuse and keeping people safe.

“Cannabis is a dangerous drug in its own right, but is also a recognised gateway drug which can draw users into the abuse of additional substances. That is why we have enlisted community support through the Scratch and Sniff campaign. Our officers are proactively seeking out cannabis factories during the campaign and are empowering communities to spot these factories and report them to us.
