Work will start at the Lodge Road Roundabout site, with alterations to the existing signals and lane markings and provide an additional lane along the ring road in each direction over the Railway Bridge towards Portrush. The scheme will also include upgrading of drainage, kerbing and resurfacing.

The Minister said: “There is an issue of congestion at Lodge Road roundabout and this scheme will increase the capacity of the roundabout to deal with traffic travelling north on the ring road.
