£45,000 spent on Traveller equality

THE Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM) spent £45,000 on the promotion and implementation of Traveller equality in Londonderry last year.

The Londonderry Travellers Support Group received a quarter of the regional spend of 180,000 last year. OFMDFM provides funding through its Minority Ethnic Development Fund to organisations representing Irish Travellers for the purpose of improving relations between communities.
