£46,000 for Hospice

THE Coleraine Hospice Support group raised £46,000 last year.

At the group’s AGM, members were told about the total, which was raised through a variety of events.

The group would like to thank everyone who donated or helped in any way. The sum raised by the ‘money in lieu of flowers’ scheme doubled during the year and appreciation was expressed by the members to the generous donors.

The new office bearers for the forthcoming year are:

Chair: Ailna Smyth; Vice Chair: Dorothy Black; Secretary: Ann Kane; Treasurer: Alice Patton.

The next event will be the opening of Keith McConnell’s garden at Ballyholme Road in Bushmills. Mr McConnell has very kindly offered his garden to the public in aid of the Hospice Support group from 2 to 5pm on Saturday, May 28.

Everyone is welcome to come along and support the local hospice group to maintain the home care nursing service in this area for the terminally ill.
