£5,000 garage burglary: Police

ITEMS with a total value of £5,000 have been stolen during a break-in at a garage beside a property on the Kilmoyle Road, Ballybogey.

Between 8am and 11am on June 2 a window was forced and thieves escaped with a large amount of electrical goods and garden tools.

Items included a grinder, drill, portable generators, hedge strimmer and lawnmower.

In another burglary, this time at Boyland Road near Ballymoney, between May 25 and June 4, items valued in excess of £2,600 and cash of £405 were stolen.

They included two emerald rings, one with a rectangular stolen and one circular; an emerald and diamond cross; ruby and diamond eternity ring, gold bracelet, gold bangle. Also taken was clothing like Helly Hansen, Northface and Pro-Alpine.
