£60m spent on NW water projects

OVER sixty million pounds were spent by the water service on capital projects in the North West over the past three years.

Northern Ireland Water (NI Water) spent 8,887,000 on the water infrastructure and 23,941,000 on the sewerage infrastructure in Londonderry alone between 2007 and 2010.

In Limavady 4,015,000 and 11,505,000 was spent on water and sewerage projects respectively; the equivalent sums in Strabane were 7,210,000 and 5,494,000.
